CITY OF MARCO ISLAND ELECTIONELECTION – NOVEMBER 3, 2026

The City of Marco Island General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for three seats on the City Council. The term of office is four years. The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. In order to qualify as a candidate for the City Council, a person must be a resident of the city for at least one year prior to qualifying and a qualified elector of the City. Candidates shall qualify by petition by electors of the City equal to one (1) percent of the total number of City electors registered in the last general election. Each candidate’s nominating petition (presented to the Collier County Supervisor of Elections no later than 12:00 noon on June 16, 2026) must be accompanied by a certification of the Supervisor of Elections that the candidate had sufficient petitions signed by qualified voters of the City and the certification must be submitted to the City Clerk before the close of the qualifying period

Candidate qualifying will be held from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2024, through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at City Hall at 50 Bald Eagle Dr., Marco Island, FL 34145 by appointment only (call the City Clerk’s office at 239-389-5010).

CIUDAD DE MARCO ISLAND ELECCIONES – 3 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 2026

Las Elecciones Generales de la Ciudad de Marco Island se celebrarán el martes, 3 de Noviembre de 2026, para tres puestos en el Concejo Municipal. El período de mandato es de cuatro años. El horario de votación será entre las horas de 7 a. m. y 7 p. m. Para poder postularse como candidato para el Concejo Municipal, una persona debe ser residente de la ciudad por al menos un año antes de postularse y ser elector cualificado de la Ciudad. Todo candidato nominado mediante peticiones firmadas por electores de la Ciudad con un número de firmas equivalente al uno (1) por ciento del número total de electores de la Ciudad registrados en las últimas
elecciones generales reúne los requisitos para ser postulado. La candidatura de nominación de cada candidato (presentada ante el supervisor de Elecciones del Condado de Collier a más tardar a las 12 del mediodía el 16 de junio de 2026) debe estar acompañada de una certificación del supervisor de Elecciones, la cual confirma que el candidato obtuvo suficientes peticiones firmadas por electores cualificados de la Ciudad; dicha certificación se le debe entregar a la oficina de la Secretaría Municipal antes del cierre del periodo de cualificación.

La cualificación de candidatos se llevará a cabo a partir de las 8 a. m. el martes, 14 de Julio de 2026, hasta las 5 p. m. el martes 28 de Julio de 2026, en el Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad, 50 Bald Eagle Dr., Marco Island, FL 34145, solo con cita previa (llame a la oficina de la Secretaría Municipal al 239-389-5010).
